Kunming, known as the “City of Eternal Spring” in Yunnan Province, welcomed the grand opening of the 8th Corneal and Ocular Surface Disease New Technology Innovation Conference, 4th TFOS China Academic Conference, and 5th Dry Eye and Ocular Surface Disease Academic Annual Meeting of the National Clinical Research Center for Eye Diseases and Optometry on August 7, 2026.
Focusing on the latest advancements in dry eye and ocular surface diseases, the conference was themed around “Digital Intelligence Empowerment, Alliance Collaboration, Tiered Diagnosis and Treatment, and Innovative Translation.” The event brought together ophthalmology experts, clinical physicians, and industry representatives from China and overseas to explore the enhancement of ocular surface disease diagnosis and treatment capabilities and the high-quality development of ophthalmic disciplines.
Focusing on Ocular Surface Health, HWBIO Showcases Innovative Solutions at the Conference
HWBIO participated in the conference with its innovative MeiboRevive™ Vectored Thermal Pulsation System, engaging in in-depth discussions with ophthalmology professionals nationwide and exploring new possibilities for dry eye diagnosis and treatment.
At the conference venue, the HWBIO booth attracted considerable attention from ophthalmology experts, clinicians, and industry partners.
Focused on key topics including standardized dry eye management, meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) management, and dry eye clinic development, the booth featured active discussions and professional exchanges. Experts and physicians visited the HWBIO booth to learn more about the clinical value of the MeiboRevive™ Vectored Thermal Pulsation System, while exchanging insights on treatment workflow, clinical experience, and dry eye clinic development strategies.

As a medical device company dedicated to innovative ophthalmic solutions, HWBIO remains committed to addressing clinical needs through technological innovation. The company strives to support healthcare institutions in enhancing dry eye management capabilities and providing patients with more standardized and comfortable eye health solutions.
Interactive Experience Zone: Exploring the MeiboRevive™ Treatment Process
To provide participating physicians with a more intuitive understanding of thermal pulsation technology, a dedicated technical experience area was established at the conference.
Through on-site demonstrations and hands-on experience, physicians were able to explore the standardized treatment workflow of the MeiboRevive™ Vectored Thermal Pulsation System, gaining insights into its clinical applications in comfortable treatment delivery, precise temperature control, and meibomian gland function management.
Designed for dry eye associated with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), the MeiboRevive™ Vectored Thermal Pulsation System utilizes precise temperature-controlled heating to soften obstructed meibum, combined with rhythmic pulsed massage to facilitate meibomian gland expression and support improved gland function. It provides a standardized physical therapy solution for patients with MGD-related dry eye.
The interactive experience and professional discussions deepened ophthalmologists’ understanding of innovative dry eye management technologies while promoting the integration of advanced concepts with clinical practice.

Expert Insights: Exploring Dry Eye Clinic Development and Operational Practices
As a chronic ocular surface disease, dry eye requires not only advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies but also comprehensive clinic systems and sustainable operational models for long-term management.
During the conference, experts shared their perspectives on dry eye clinic development, standardized diagnosis and treatment pathways, and refined operational practices.
Dr. Bian Xiaoyan from Baotou Chaoju Eye Hospital delivered a presentation titled “Top-Level Design of Dry Eye Clinics: Building Regional Academic Leadership Through Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Systems.” She shared practical experiences in dry eye specialty clinic development, systematic management approaches, and the clinical application of the MeiboRevive™ Vectored Thermal Pulsation System.

Dr. Fan Yu from Qinhuangdao Aier Eye Hospital presented “Refined Operation of Dry Eye Clinics: Practical Insights into Standardized SOP Implementation and Improved Efficiency.” He shared experiences in standardized workflow development, clinic operation management, and clinical application of the MeiboRevive™ Vectored Thermal Pulsation System.

These expert presentations and industry exchanges provided valuable insights into advancing standardized dry eye management and improving the comprehensive service capabilities of ophthalmology departments.
